Proposal

Provide a searchable static HTML reading interface for the project’s existing OKF knowledge bundle. The user suggests a GitHub Pages compiler or static site generator with preprocessing; implementation and initial publication are approved under scope v001, subject to its dependencies and independent acceptance before deployment.1

User decision — audience

The first version should serve a private team.6 The user subsequently proposed Cloudflare for now, without sign-in.7 Intended readers remain the private team, while unauthenticated hosting implies a publicly accessible reading surface unless another access restriction is chosen. Initial recommendation — historical context

Keep knowledge/ authoritative. Proposed flow: existing validation → OKF preprocessing → static generator → local HTML preview → separately chosen hosting. Generated Markdown/navigation and HTML should live outside the knowledge bundle and be reproducible, not hand-maintained copies.

Start the discussion with MkDocs plus a small Python preprocessing layer: its plugin lifecycle can alter Markdown before rendering, which aligns with the existing Python helpers.2 Eleventy is an alternative if a more custom collection-driven site becomes the priority; its documentation demonstrates static output that can be deployed to a web host.3 The approved v001 implementation uses this MkDocs/Python direction; Eleventy remains outside the current build.

GitHub Pages is a possible hosting destination for generated HTML/CSS/JavaScript.4 The user chose unauthenticated Cloudflare hosting. For context, ordinary Pages sites can be publicly visible even when their source repository is private.5 Local preview precedes independent acceptance and the approved initial Cloudflare deployment; account access remains pending; inspected official asset limits accommodate the checked local build.

Implemented reading interface

The implemented preprocessor renders OKF metadata, preserves citations/footnotes, rewrites bundle-root and relative links for root/non-root deployment, and builds hierarchical navigation. All knowledge notes are searchable; every retained attachment is discoverable as a byte-preserving single-file ZIP. Archived third-party HTML is downloadable inside ZIPs and is not executed or directly embedded. Runtime ledgers and locks are explicitly classified outside the published content. Local integrity checks and independent acceptance establish build behavior; live deployment remains pending.

Current work and next action

Intended audience is a private team; provisional hosting is Cloudflare without sign-in. All project notes and downloadable archived source files are selected for inclusion. Cloudflare Pages Direct Upload is the selected provisional deployment route; account access is pending. Acceptance criteria are defined in scope v001.

User approved scope v001; approval receipt records the exact reply and scope hash. Manager authorized execution at checkpoint 9da5be4; see manager start receipt. Work is in progress under the manager-relayed Astra design: MkDocs/Python build, local search, metadata/citations and deterministic ZIP downloads. Execution record preserves feasibility evidence and check state. Local browser navigation/search and integrity checks passed. Independent Astra review accepted the core build; the first build was accepted and committed as b411d6b. Subsequent user usability feedback prompted content-first pages, useful overview/collection navigation and always-visible mobile search within v001. Usability and title-escaping corrections were independently accepted at checkpoint 00f02bd; 78 tests pass. The final reconciled build is ready, and Cloudflare project droneradar-knowledge exists. The browser upload permission blocker was cleared after the user replied “done”. Deployment is complete at DroneRadar knowledge. Live nested navigation, Wingbits search to its canonical company, and a downloaded original ZIP hash pass; the live search index matches the accepted build. Next action: none for approved v001. Future knowledge changes require a deliberate rebuild and upload. These delivery notes postdate the published snapshot. Execution now follows the approved scope and manager start receipt. Sol implementation and Astra design/acceptance follow the manager-authorized harness routing.

Intake evidence limits — historical

Four official documentation pages were inspected only to make the initial recommendation and scope concrete. HTTP HTML and extracted text are preserved; JavaScript/linked assets were not captured. At intake, no framework was installed, prototype built, maintenance/pricing comparison completed, or Pages access-control configuration tested. Current implementation/check status is recorded separately in execution.md. Existing knowledge/harness files were read locally.
