DroneShield
RF detection hardware and multi-sensor command-and-control software.
Identity and relationship
Official site: DroneShield. The company identifies itself as DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO), with headquarters in Australia, the US and the Netherlands. It markets products globally to military, government, law enforcement and critical-infrastructure customers. Relationship: hardware/software provider and enterprise detection-network comparator.1
Offering and evidence
Capabilities are vendor claims, inspected October 9, 2026 (America/Los_Angeles). Product pages are undated; current availability means publicly marketed, not an independently completed procurement or field test.
| Product | Collection and data output | Deployment / access | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| RfPatrol Mk2 | Passive RF/SDR scanning with signature updates; visual, audible and haptic detection alerts; optional directional antennas | Wearable, claimed 1.2 kg including battery and up to eight hours operation; native ATAK-CIV plugin advertised | Dismounted page, RfPatrol section. Claims do not establish GPS coordinates for every detection.2 |
| DroneSentry-C2 | Combines RF, radar and optical sensor inputs; exports detection logs including vendor, location, duration and MAC address | Cloud or on-premises server; RESTful integration API advertised | Software page, C2 interoperability and export sections. No public schema, API credentials or redistribution terms inspected.1 |
| DroneSentry-C2 Enterprise | Aggregates connected C2 sites, with cross-site monitoring and analytic export | Customer multi-site/national deployments | Enterprise section; this is customer fleet aggregation, not evidence of a crowdsourced network.1 |
| Remote ID / Drone ID integration | Camera tracking of DroneLocator detections in addition to radar-located drones | Version 10.1 rollout announcement dated October 1, 2024 | Announcement establishes a claimed release, not successful deployment to every customer.3 |
Pricing, incentives and operating status
No numeric hardware or recurring price found in the reviewed pages. Mission Ready Services is presented as software updates, training and support; the media index records an October 1, 2026 launch of a global subscription. Continued dated announcements through October 7, 2026 support ongoing public company activity, but were not checked against exchange filings or customer records.14
No public paid-contributor or private sensor-host program was found in this bounded set of official pages. Neither ATAK sharing nor an integration API establishes public bulk access, an open contribution program, or a right to resell detections. The Access Portal's global incident database also should not be assumed to be a live raw sensor feed.12
Geography and limits
Global deployment is a vendor claim. Coverage depends on installed sensors rather than an independently mapped public footprint. Optional Nearmap availability in Australia, New Zealand and North America describes mapping data, not detection coverage.1
Analysis and unanswered questions
Relevant for distinguishing local RF alerts from fused, geolocated and exportable records. The presence of a passive wearable does not establish the full C2 export fields for that wearable alone. Obtain device-specific field definitions, timestamps, geolocation method/uncertainty, offline buffering, license/data rights and prices. Independent detection-range, false-positive and update-quality evidence was not gathered. No empirical contradiction was resolved; the main gap is between marketing and accessible verification.
