Identity and relationship
Official product: DJI AeroScope. Relationship: historical hardware/data-provider comparator. This record concerns AeroScope, not the whole DJI product catalog or DJI's corporate operating status.
Current lifecycle and conflicting evidence
DJI's official support notice lists AeroScope Stationary production suspension in February 2023 and AeroScope Mobile in March 2022. The service-suspension date is April 15, 2026 for both: the archived original HTML contains a single cell with rowspan="2". The flattened text alone obscures its application to Mobile. As of this study's October 9, 2026 local date, that service date has passed. The notice says suspension covers inquiries, technical support and maintenance.1
In conflict, the current product page still invites AeroScope orders through authorized dealers. The study treats this as stale or unresolved marketing, not proof of current manufacture or supported new supply. Existing hardware operation, dealer stock and exceptions were not independently checked.2

Pricing, participation and geography
No numeric list price was found in the reviewed sources. DJI says AeroScope was sold to authorized users such as airports and secure sites. No public data-contributor incentive program or open API/data network was established. The page lists use cases internationally but gives no current installed coverage map.32
Analysis and unanswered questions
AeroScope is evidence that hardware lifecycle and proprietary protocol changes can break assumptions about long-lived data collection. Do not use its historical marketing to infer current procurement, universal drone visibility, or equivalence to standard Remote ID. Needed evidence: current authorized dealer support/stock, installed fleet compatibility matrix, surviving SDK license and access terms.
The support notice has no visible publication date in the capture; dates above are product lifecycle dates, not assumed notice-publication dates. The 2024 DJI blog is the manufacturer's response to a competitor and is not an independent security assessment. No competitor allegation is adopted as established fact.
